Noah

God has created man, both male and female, and placed them on the earth. Before long however, man has disobeyed God, and is doing exactly as he wishes. Simply put, the world is full of wickedness. The experiment with man has failed, and he has to go.
It is precisely at this time that God takes note of someone. His name is Noah, and he isn?t like the others. He is a just and righteous man. God has already decided that he is going to send a flood and destroy man, but because of Noah, the human race is given another chance. Under God?s direction, Noah builds a large boat, called an Ark. When it?s completed, Noah and his wife, his sons and their wives and families, all go aboard the Ark. With them go at least two, a male and a female, of all other living creatures. The rain begins and continues for forty days and forty nights. All of the earth, including the highest mountains, is covered with water. Man and beast, except for those living in the Ark, all die.
After forty days the rain stops, it does however, take a long time for the water level to go down. Noah and his family, together with all their passengers, spend many months in the Ark before it finally comes to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Weeks and months passes. Noah sends forth a raven and then a dove, which have to return to the Ark because there is no dry ground. At last the day arrives when the birds do not come back, and Noah realizes that their internment will soon be over. Soon God speaks to Noah again, telling him to leave the Ark with his family and all living things.
The world is like new again, and God tells them to breed abundantly and replenish the earth. God also decides that he will never again destroy the earth with a flood, and to remind people of that promise he sets the rainbow in the cloud.
Noah lives three hundred and fifty years after the flood ? to the grand old age of nine hundred and fifty years.
