The Indian Book

The Indian Book was the 1980 annual supplement to the Childcraft library. I wish my parents had kept their subscription and gotten me more books like this.
The Indian Book is a wonderful introduction to Native American culture. For each tribe mentioned, it tells about their original way of life and life now. It includes a legend from the tribe and in most instances a simple project based on what you just read, from learning Indian sign language to making your own moccasins.
This book is simple enough for a child, yet fun and entertaining for adults. It will easily grow with your youngster for years to come.
