Publicidade
Water, whales and wishing to run away, were some of the afflictions of Jonah, a prophet of God sent to preach to the people of Ninivah. Why? He cried out in desperation, Why me? Up on the boat, over the tumulus sea, Away, away, crys he. Blackness of night, thunder and storm, the shipmates aboard tremble and fear, Who of us has angered The Holy One? Out came the sticks, a lot was drawn, Jonah was it, and thrown overboard. Deeper, deeper still, into the sea and into the swill, along came a fish that swallowed him up, taking in his inedible munch. Three days and three nights, being eaten by acid, he realized his fate if he did not escape speedily. So fromprayer of sincerity, this fish did not like this meal that was nauseating, up and out, spewed onto the beach, Jonah sulked, in the hot desert heat. day after day, he tried to stay out, this people he said are uncircumcised clouts, me not go in, me stay out, this city is filthy, corrupted and vile. But he gave up in the end, God had His way, he ended up going, citizens distraught, Us, they cried, We angered God!, repented they did tearing their clothes, and this is the story of Jonah's Woe.
