this book is a really good fiction i would strongly recommend this for guys having some scientific knowledge, its a bit hard to understand brown's cryptographic terms yet the book is fast paced.
the story begins with susan fletcher who works in the NSA as a cryptographer. strathmore is asst.director and leland fontaine is the director of this code breaking organisation.ghale is susans coworker and david becker, working as a proffessor is susans love.

the other intresting characters are tankado, a japanese born handicapt genius and hulohot, a mercenery.one saturday morning susan is being called by stathmore as being an urgent situation, he also sends david to spain. strathmore briefs the situation, how tankado a former coworker who helped them building the transltr, the ultimate code breaking machine whose existence was not revealed to the world had turned against NSA for they even had to interfere in peoples private mails to root out the terrorists, tankado was stubborn that the people had every right to have their secrets, he stresses that if the NSA were the guards then who will guard those guards.he goes to the press to reveal the existence of the transltr but strathmore adjusts the situation.

Now after years tankado had designed an ultimate algorithm that any machine cant break even trasltr, made up of mutation strings and had auctioned it in a site .he had also said that another copy of the code for this digital fortress was with the mysterius NDAKOTA and if anyone killed him his ally would release the code.strathmore had inserted the code into transltrs filters by himself and transltr hadnt broken the code for 15 hrs. the story moves on as tankado dies in a mysterious heart attack .he gives away a ring to a tourist and the ring moves hand to hand and david goes in search of it and the mysterius mercenery goes in killing all those who had seen the ring.

On the other hand susan and strathmore tries to find out the identity of the mysterious NDAKOTA when ghale interupts the scene and the situation is also being analysed by two more sides one was a sys-sec phil chatukian and others were from fontaines office.susans tracer finds the mysterious NDAKOTAs shocking identity being ghale and the story spins on the other side with hulohot hunting for becker who was in his death race with the mysterious ring.

The secind part turns out to be a brainstrom for the readers, NDAKOTAs true identity is revealed it was not ghale, someone very very close to tankado.And the mysterious code of digital fortress being broken after finding the fortress's true form, those were mindblowing turns in the story.i am not intrested in destroying those enthralling rides, read it for yourself and you'll love this book very much.

its not as good as THE DA VINCI CODE yet its turns out to be a fast paced thriller
