The Perfume
(Patrick Süskind)

Publicidade
Want to smell reality?  Bored of your too used senses? Don''t you think smelling is more close and intimate than seeing? Even more than touching ...
Well, you have to learn how to use your nose. I know no better guide but "The perfume", a novel written by a fellow, named Patrick Süskind.
Of course, you will want  to know immediately how the book smells. Are you a woman? Two steps.  A guy?  Three steps. Either one, just buy the book, first place.
Then situate yourself in Paris, during the eighteenth century.  Too much imagination? No worry, Patrick will be an effective guide.
Then you have to be introduced to mister Jean-Baptiste Grenouille.  I tell you : he knows what the word smelling means. Just keep close to his stages in life.  You will soon start to follow his perfume, which is absolutely extraordinary.  I will not tell you why.  You have your nose; use it as the words follows.
It ends in a big, really big, party, where smelling has turned into love.  Please, don''t miss those final pages.  If you are the sensitive type, just start from the end.  You will regret nothing.  And, do you feel it?  I''m now smelling you; all through the web your personal perfume is  reaching me : I learned to smell.
