I am as old as the memories
that stir within these walls
where pity turns and flees
Grieving for the reveries
of times we voyaged through the sun
and useless are the pleas
I feel the war inside my head
It won’t rest until I’ve bled
Everywhere the painted lies
They bid the tempest rise
When the sky and oceans seethe
i will ask for no reprieve
as I take one last look and leave
Let the world spin on its way
in killing time we are its prey
just as night devours day
I was cleaner once than this
in heaven’s eye I felt the kiss
a dream of unrepentant bliss
And now with darkness all around
a fevered wind carves through the soundof those chimeras I had found
