like a camera lurks behind your eyes
they're thinking you don't feel the same
but you're drowning too with no escape

so you watch 'em drift off through the room
but you hold the keys so you have to wait
to pull over ten times on the drive home

you're dancing free of frowns and stares
I often long to dip my big toe in

but I'm holding back for fear (or pride)
from the roller-coaster around this zoo
