Author : Eva Ibbotson Published By : Macmillan Children?s Books Copyright, Number of Pages : 1996 ? Eva Ibbotson, 152 pages. ISBN : 0-330-39826-1 Genre : Ghost Fiction ?Get me some ghosts, frightful and dangerous ghosts!? Fulton has an evil plan to scare his cousin Oliver to death. He has called the ?Dial a Ghost Agency? and asked them to provide him some truly terrifying ghosts. He hopes that the ghosts would scare Oliver. But Oliver has taken a liking to the ghosts that he meets, and these particular ghosts have decided to teach Fulton a lesson.
I have been in the same situation as Oliver has been in on page 57 in the book. It was midnight and Oliver was alone in the mansion. He was scared that ghosts and spirits were coming to kill him. Even I have been in this situation before when I was younger, and so I understood how Oliver felt. This example shows that I understood Oliver?s feelings when he was in that situation.
In this Book the characters from the same family have such different personalities. Take Fulton and Oliver for example, Fulton is already so rich but he still wants more money. Oliver on the other hand, is happy with what he has and doesn?t want anything more.
I would recommend this book to children under the age of 11 who like ghost stories which are not bloodcurdling. This book has made me realize that some people are so greedy and they can do anything for money, a small boy?s feelings. As the book has taught me these things this book is remarkable.
